What made you choose your major:

I often feel that I didn't choose Public Relations; rather, it chose me. I began as a Communication major, but when transferring to Cal State Long Beach, my counselor recommended applying as a PR major to improve my chances of admission. I knew little about the field beyond celebrity publicity, but my "Principles of Public Relations" course quickly changed that. I discovered PR's depth, strategy, storytelling, ethics, and community connection. I quickly realized it was more than promotion; it was purpose. Over time, I've seen how PR blends creativity with impact, giving voice to causes I care about.
