Fall 2018, PRSSA- LB partnered up with Cotton Incorporated™ to bring CSULB Blue Jeans Go Green™.
This was a campaign in which we collected pieces of denim that would be up-cycled into insulation. 

Company Overview:

• Cotton Incorporated is a non profit organization
• The mission of Cotton Inc. is to increase the demand for and profitability of  cotton through research and promotion.

What is Blue Jeans Go Green™ Denim Recycling Program?

• The program is a call-to-action to give old denim “new” life by recycling it into UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation.
• Each year, Cotton Inc. provides a portion of the insulation to civic buildings and new homes in communities across the U.S. that need it most.

Impact To Date:

• 1,000,000+ pieces of denim collected.
• 600+ tons of denim diverted from landfills.
• 2+ million square feet of UltraTouch™ Denim Insulation generated. 

We were one of six universities collecting denim in 2018.
