Executive Board Roles
President
The Chapter President is in charge of managing the responsibilities of the executive board and is the communication channel to the chapter’s faculty advisor and the PRSSA National Board. They are the official spokesperson of the organization, representing the policies, views, and opinions of the organization. They will manage PRSSA activities, meetings, events, issues, and concerns. They supervise and conduct chapter officers on duties, responsibilities and meetings, and semester-long agendas, goals, and objectives.
Vice PresidentThe Vice President is responsible for reaching out to prospective guest speakers and securing collaborations with other clubs/departments. They support the President in their semester-long agendas and will take the President's role when necessary. They will assist chapter officers with the planning, implementation, and organization of their roles, and are expected to attend all PRSSA LB events and meetings. |
TreasurerThe treasurer should carry out the administrative tasks for the chapter such as managing the finances and budgeting for the chapter. They will ensure quality of all records within the organization, like receipts, checks, new member fees, and reimbursements. They will keep track of the PRSSA fund and the PRSSA yearly budget and propose and execute fundraising ideas for future PRSSA events and needs. |
Director of EventsThe Director of Events is in charge of organizing and proposing social events, workshops and meetings to sustain the growth of our chapter. They will plan and execute various events to provide ample networking opportunities. They will work closely with the Treasurer to ensure that their events meet fundraising and budget standards. They will relay all event information to the Communications and Digital Media Directors. |
Director of MembershipThe Director of Membership is in charge of managing new and renewing memberships, as well as submitting them to the national organization. They will keep track of membership labels (voting members, non-voting members, and associated members). They are also expected to be the driving force behind recruitment at the beginning of each semester and preside as the main liaison between the members and the Executive Board. |
Director of CommunicationsThe Director of Communications plays a vital role in effectively leading all messaging efforts from the Executive Board to current and prospective members. They are expected to create and distribute a newsletter that showcases PRSSA events, members, and deadlines; as well as PRSA events and deadlines. They are to organize our PRSSA LB Blog that features writing from those associated within the organization and create a timeline of reminders for meetings, events, and deadlines. |
Director of Digital MediaThe Director of Digital Media is tasked with creating promotional graphics and managing the chapter social media channels. They work to maintain the aesthetic over the different social media channels of PRSSA LB. In addition, they are in charge of creating any additional materials used for the chapter. They work closely with the Director of Communications to relay consistent messaging across all channels and capture club events and meetings. |
