Beyoncé dropped her new visual album “Lemonade” last Saturday and it has been all anyone can talk about. The multi-winning artist has been in the business for over 25 years and there is much we can learn from the successful singer. It may not be the first thing we think about but Beyoncé can actually teach us about how to become better public relations specialists. Looking at her latest album and looking at her career are some hidden public relations tips that can be very helpful for brands. The Benefits Of Taking Creative Risks The Queen is not afraid to take creative risks when it comes to her career. Her latest album “Lemonade” is an example of how Beyoncé ventured into creating a visual album in which she is not afraid to talk about tough and serious issues. Not only does Beyoncé talk about infidelity in her relationship but she also addresses the racial discrimination. Including racial politics and disclosing personal relationship conflicts throughout her album could be seen as taking a creative risk but Beyoncé was not afraid of this. Her album shows the important of not being afraid to take creative risks. It is important to think outside the box and at times not be afraid to take creative risks when creating public relations campaigns. This is not to say that you shouldn’t thoroughly plan out campaigns but having some fun with them can benefit companies/organizations. Having creative and engaging campaigns can ensure that both the media and consumers become intrigued and this can have huge pay offs. The Importance Of A Strong Fan Base/ Customer Relations: Her fan base known as the Beyhives are some of the most loyal fans out there. Beyoncé understands the importance of her fans and makes sure to acknowledge them and let them know how grateful she is for their support. Whether she expresses her gratitude through her blog or on social media Beyoncé makes it a point to let her fans know that she appreciates them. Just as Beyoncé understands the importance of her fan base, it is important for companies/organizations to understand the importance of creating strong customer relations. Building strong customer relationships can make a huge difference as to whether your companies fails or succeeds. Creating a loyal following can give your company/organization a competitive edge and ensuring customers of the organization/company that their part of the brand can have a positive effect on companies/organizations. Make sure to engage and listen to your customers even when things are as simple as engaging with followers on social media can have a great impact on your brand. Beyoncé not only creates great music but she also can teach us some great public relations tips. With these two tips in mind public relations specialists can see their organization/company succeed. So go out there and make some lemonade out of lemons!
