by Juliet Rumley Thank goodness it is almost summer! If you haven’t decided on what you are going to do this summer, now is the best time to be searching for a post-grad job or an internship. Where do you begin? I know with all the job postings out there on several different sites, job searching can be so overwhelming. Luckily, I know four of the best websites to find that perfect job or internship! 1. Glassdoor: This is the best website to find information about a company and its practices. Glassdoor shares company reviews, salary information, and interview questions. It is such a good website when you want to find a job, but it can also help you find more information about the company atmosphere and how employees are treated. 2. Indeed: I love Indeed! I get emails of job postings often from this site and it’s great for seeing local opportunities. I also type in the keywords that I am searching for in a career, and it sends me relevant jobs so I know what is out there that I can apply for. Indeed provides salaries and company reviews as well. Once you find the job listing, you can see what skills and main highlights they are looking for in a candidate, which is a great tool to use when updating your resume to that specific position! 3. ZipRecruiter: ZipRecruiter is awesome. The website emails you job listings that are relevant to your experience and rates you on how good of a match you are for the position. I also love that it tells me how many people applied for the position already so I can see how much of a demand the position is. The website does send many emails every day, so it’s great to keep up with what jobs are getting posted daily. 4. VelvetJobs: VelvetJobs is another great site that matches jobs to your experience and always keeps you informed with relevant job postings. I love that this site allows you to create your resume using their templates and you have the ability to hire an expert to help with your resume. Another cool thing about this website is that it also posts helpful career articles. These articles feature samples and templates of resumes, career advice, and other relevant information for finding that perfect job. Do your research and stay informed through these sites, and you’ll find your next opportunity before you know it. Best of luck!
