2018 Bateman Team
The Bateman Case Study Competition is an annual competition held by PRSSA. Teams of public relations students nationwide are challenged to form and implement a full public relations campaign on behalf of an amazing client.
Our 2018 PRSSA Long Beach Bateman Team is working to promote the mission of With Purpose, a national charity dedicated to conquering childhood cancer. With Purpose is a youth-led movement and PRSSA Long Beach has stepped up to the task of raising awareness of the cause. Currently conducting research and planning, the team will carry out their ideas in February and March, with final entries due to PRSSA National Headquarters in April.
This year's team is co-coached by CSULB professor Jennifer Newton and public relations professional Alison Miller. Newton and Miller are CSULB Department of Journalism and Public Relations (JPR) alumni who led their 2001 Bateman team to third place with their campaign for Visa. CSULB has placed first, second, third or honorable mention in 15 of the last 22 Bateman competitions.
